Here's a look at my demo VU-Meter unit:



I've hooked up the VU-Meter to an old PC power supply, and fired up the iPod for the audio input. This particular setup is using 5mm super bright blue, green, and white LEDs. I've also added plugs to the end of the LED cables for easy LED insertion, and mounted them using LED mounting clips.

So I started cleaning my closet one day, and came across my old stock of VU-Meter Kits...

Thanks for reading, my name is Ben (also known as B-Squared in some circles). Back in 2003 I built a custom VU-Meter for my computer case along with other assorted case mods. The response to my vu-meter kit was good, and I decided to produce a VU-Meter kit specifically designed for use in a computer case and sold it at B2ModKits.com. The kits sold well and provided a fun hobby for me running the store while I was in college. As time went on, life became busier and sales slowed down, so I decided to close up shop.

In the years since I've held on to the rest of my unsold kits I had produced. I knew that they didn't do me any good in my closet, so I decided to open up shop again and offer them up to any fellow case modders out there who might be interested. Of course, since I let my old domain name expire, it's been snatched up and won't be let go... which brings us to the new website: VUMeterKit.com.

I've brought back the majority of the old store here on VUMeterKit.com... complete with assembly instructions and photos and a case gallery of some of the creations of my customers.
